First step:

I assume you have already know what USTREAM (http://www.ustream.tv) is and have  the Raspbmc  ( http://www.raspbmc.com/download ) installed

Next step:

Login to your raspberry pi’s shell with ssh/telnet/putty etc.

Next step:

Download xbmc.repo.xstream.zip from https://code.google.com/p/xbmc-xstream-plugin/downloads/list

Next step:

Repack xbmc.repo.xstream.zip and create file plugin.video.ustream-0.1.zip so that it contains the following structure:

  • plugin.video.ustream :
    • resources :
      • favorite.png
      • next.png
      • search.png
      • settings.xml
    • LICENSE.txt, README.md, addon.xml, default.py

Next step:

Copy plugin.video.ustream-0.1.zip to the /home/pi/.xbmc/addons/packages directory in the raspbmc

Next step:

Unpack plugin.video.ustream-0.1.zip to the /home/pi/.xbmc/addons

Next step:

Install python AMF:

root@raspbmc:/home/pi# sudo apt-get install python-pyamf

Next step:

Restart XBMC, try to use the ustream plugin.

If it fails analyze the log file /home/pi/.xbmc/temp/xbmc.log to see why the plugin malfunctions:

tail -f  ~pi/.xbmc/temp/xbmc.log | egrep -v "(DEBUG|NOTICE|INFO)"
